Schneider Electric employs 120,000 people in 102 different countries. Their manufacturing plant in New Zealand, formerly known as PDL was undergoing a LEAN Manufacturing introduction program. LMAC were brought in to support the change process over a number of months prior to them moving to more modern facilities in the same city. The main challenge facing LMAC was in significantly reducing process floor space requirements whilst lifting productivity in an environment of massive product range and variety. The project was a sucess, with the factory move and a record productivity result being achieved in the same period. |
